Sophia has always been interested in the link between diet and health. She followed her interest by studying Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Hertfordshire. She is a Registered Dietitian with the Health and Care Professions Council.
Sophia has been working in the NHS gaining a variety of experience. She first worked with adult patients seeing a variety of conditions such as IBS, coeliac disease, weight management and home enteral nutrition. She then moved into the field of paediatrics, working as a Specialist Paediatric Dietitian within the NHS. This provided further experience with different age groups, including babies, children and adolescents dealing with nutritional issues, including allergy, obesity and faltering growth.
As a Registered Dietitian, Sophia uses up to date evidenced based knowledge and translates this to help clients make informed decisions about their care. Each client is individual, therefore there are no prescriptive or restrictive diets, only a focus on making long term health and lifestyle changes! In her practice, she sees clients of all ages, providing advice for adults and children.
