The Herts Family Dietitian aims to make you feel safe and supported throughout your experience with us.

What You Can Expect 

Book an appointment by calling or emailing. The dietitian will get back to you as soon as possible, so please leave a message if there is no answer. Alternatively, email any queries to info@hertsfamilydietitian.co.uk

Your GP or other health care professionals may be contacted prior to or after consultations.  This is to provide the highest level of care for you, the client. This will be done only with your knowledge and consent. 

Consultations are usually 60 to 30 minutes and are agreed prior to your appointment.  Consultations involve taking a detailed medical and dietary history, and we talk through what you wish to achieve. Body measurements are taken when needed / requested.  We will then create a fully personalised plan to get you started.


Payment can be made by via bank transfer as per the fee agreement.

What We Ask

For Dietetic Consultations

We require you to complete a form prior to your first appointment. Please bring all relevant medical history, test results and any records such as the ‘red book’ for children with you to your appointment. I may also ask you to fill in a food diary prior to your first appointment to assist with dietary analysis and assessment where necessary. 

For certain conditions, it may be useful to bring with you a brief written summary of your symptoms, in date order, to aid the consultation process. 

If you are running late, the session will still end at the agreed time.

Results and outcomes following your appointments, will be reliant on dietary and non-dietary factors. Therefore, no guarantee can be given of results.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please do so as soon as possible. If you cancel or reschedule your appointment within 6 hours, there is a fee of £25. If you do not attend an appointment without prior notice, the fee is charged at full appointment price.


Please note, should the dietitian need to cancel, a full refund will be made, but no compensation for your incurred costs such as travel will be reimbursed. The Dietitian will let you know as soon as possible.

Our Responsibilities

We will always maintain your confidentiality. We use a password protected laptop and any personal information gathered is kept on password protected documents to keep your personal information, clinical notes and any other information secure.

The dietitian works in a fully integrated manner with other health professionals and NHS staff. The dietitian is GDPR compliant and will not share your information without your knowledge and consent.

Sophia is a full member of British Dietetic Association (BDA) and their paediatric specialist group.

Sophia is registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), registration number DT29466.

As a clinical professional it is the dietitian’s statutory duty to follow up any safeguarding concerns.
